The world of Shumaki

The History

The lands of Shumaki were always known to be a homeplace for creatures far mightier than human beings could ever dream of. Many tried to gain that power so their wish
to enslave and control these beasts grew and grew.
People settled down and claimed whole islands for themself, hoping to stop others
from taking "their" creatures from "their" islands. But as we know, hunger for might is insatiable. Wanting more and more some even tried to steal companions from other families and even worse. The residents of this world of course defended their comrades but this was impossible without fighting. War was on it's way and nobody was safe.

Many years later, Shumaki, drowned in the blood of the fallen, finally found peace by the hand of one man and his loyal companions. He traveled through the whole world,
and tried to gather strong warriors, no matter what species, to protect what is theirs.
As a thank you he was chosen as the leader of this world, no matter if he wanted.
The intruders were banned from their homelands and Shumaki was covered by
a strong, cloud-like fog so nobody will ever find this land again.

It was never intended to let others enter this world ever again but out of unknown reasons some travelers stumbled over Nipau, the home-island of the high lord.
He decided to give the "outsiders" a second chance, knowing that his people are now aware of the danger, and to release the world of the fog.

Unfortunately something went wrong and Shumaki is still partially covered by it.
Only Nipau is reachable from the outside.....at least for now...
